Elisabeth Wood
Elisabeth Wood, born in Provo, Utah on June 7, 1977, is the Eric James Johnson Memorial Fellowship Artist in Residence for April 2008, and has also been awarded the Benjamin D. Letzler Genius Grant in order to help support the production of a short movie called "Peace In Philadelphia." She was raised in Antioch and Folsom, California, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Letters from Portland State University in Oregon, during which time she also sang with the internationally acclaimed liturgical choir Cantores In Ecclesia. Wood has been working in songs under the moniker of Fancie since 2000. In January of 2003 she moved to Berlin and now considers herself a laborer in language and music education.
