Dan Wyche presented, in his first of two presentations, offered the Institute an overviews:
1. An historical and cultural background of Chinese and putonghua(Mandarin).
2. Introduction to Radicals and Characters.
3. Introduction to Tones.

Dan will soon be continuing with basic phrases and expressions, and perhaps a brief overview of grammar.
